I'm Jim Wells.  I graduated from Regent University in 1992 with a Master's Degree in Counseling.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist.  I have also completed training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  I have over 25 years experience.  I enjoy spending time with my 3 children, like to fish, play tennis, and record songs.  I am from West Virginia and moved to North Carolina because there is more cultural diversity and services.  I have traveled to Vietnam and the Philippines and am sensitive to not only different cultures but also to how people view the world.  We all have had experiences that have made us into the unique individuals we are today.  I am accepting of those differences and strive to understand world views that are different from my own.  From my experience, I have also seen that we are all the same in terms of the struggles we face and our basic human needs. There are many instances where language is not a barrier.  I believe that everyone possesses the answer to the issues they present.  My job is to reflect what I see so that people can decide where they want to go.
